“When you’re fake, no matter which way you edit it, it will come out as not being really genuine,” she explains, having seen it happen on other reality shows.
“For me it was about being my true authentic self, I didn’t care which way they would edit that, even if it would be made out to seem like a villain edit.”
Adding that she’s “not really scared” of how her scenes in the show may be edited, Lisa was nervous about the actual dating, given she’s been painfully single for the last 10 years.
She blames her “picky” attitude when it comes to dating apps, where she even admits to swiping left on every single man with a tattoo. Picky indeed!
But Love Triangle forced her to build connections with two matches without having a clue what they looked like, something she hopes will finally lead her to true love.
“What I loved the most was the fact that there was that connection and hopefully I’d find that attractive more than anything else,” she says.
She’s excited to finally get a bit of Filipino representation on Aussie TV screens, coming from a mixed background herself; Lisa’s half-Filipino, half-British and grew up in Australia.
“To represent that, especially on a reality show, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lot of Filipino women doing something like this. I think it’s a beautiful thing,” she says.
