"Mate, look, she's not here at the moment. I don't know why she couldn't make it," a stunned Mikey said when asked why Natasha was a no show.
Following an overly awkward pause, when asked whether they woke up in the same bed together, the aged care operations manager panicked, saying: "Umm... I'm not sure.
Quickly realising he'd just revealed things were completely over between the pair, he awkwardly laughed and then backtracked, saying: "Oh, I mean, I let her sleep in. I have taken the reigns back and let her sleep in."
As we know, Mikey and Natasha's wedding wasn't smooth sailing. After they met at the altar, the financial analyst and business owner seemed a little upset with the experts' for pairing her with the baby-faced boy from Sydney's northern suburbs. Natasha's bridesmaids were also less than impressed with their choice.
"He’s cute," laughed one of the bridesmaids.
"That’s the problem!" retorted one of the bride's well-groomed friends, Lincoln.
"Natasha will eat him alive!"
When she first spotted her groom, Natasha was keen to give him the benefit of the doubt – after all, she was just chuffed to be walking down the aisle to someone who wasn't twice her age.
"He did seem a little bit nervous at first – I am really hoping it’s just the build up of the day," she quipped. "I’m just genuinely happy it’s not an old man!"
But as the newlyweds headed to their photoshoot, things became incredibly awkward, with the uncertain-looking bride forced to do the very thing she hadn't wanted to: take the lead.
"He’s so awkward... He's got me a little bit worried," she confessed. "Hopefully it’s just nerves. I was hoping he’d take the lead. I like a man that takes the lead," she said in a piece to camera. "I’m hoping he is someone who can handle me being a strong woman."
