From the moment the pair clapped eyes on each other at their wedding, it was clear Stacey had absolutely no interest in Michael – and she made no attempt to hide it.
It was clear to viewers.
It was clear to her mum, who said "I don’t think he’s her type... You can see it on her face."
It was even clear to the groom!
"I’m no psychologist but I wouldn’t think she’s into me at all, no way," he quipped during their photoshoot, aka the most awkward moment in MAFS history.
At the pair's reception, Stacey also made it abundantly obvious that, not only was she not instantly interested in Michael, she also had no particular interest in getting to know the entrepreneur better.
Now, look – you might've already been a bit anti-Michael after he made his TV debut with some exceptionally chauvanistic comments (and we wouldn't blame you, what he said was gross). But you could almost (almost) feel sorry for the guy as he asked the blonde bombshell question after question and got literally nothing back.
"She’s the most standoffish bird I’ve ever met," Michael complained.
"She gives nothing. She comes across as like her friends and her are the funniest chicks on the planet, but I don’t think she’s made me laugh once."
(To be fair, mate, you're no comedian either. But please continue.)
"I asked her a few questions, she didn’t ask me any back. I found that quite rude."
Meanwhile, Stacey had been going to great lengths to make sure everyone knew that Michael is definitely not someone she would usually be interested in.
"He doesn’t look like my usual type of guy I go for, but obviously that hasn’t worked in the past," she said, sounding unconvinced.
"He’s not normally the sort of guy I would… want to date."
"It takes a lot to impress me."
(Well colour us shocked...)
"I definitely see an immature silly side and I’m thinking this is not a good start... I don’t need another child, I’ve got two. Could be a disaster, to be honest."
But then her mate Carla told Stacey something that changed her mind instantly.
Although Michael might seem like a total goofball, it turns out he must have a head on his shoulders, because he owns his own company.
And what does that equal?
We'll let Carla tell you:
Interestingly, and on the advice from her friends, Stacey was suddenly open to finding out a little more about her new husband.
"That shows me they’ve got a lot of drive if they’re in their own business," the bride said. "Maybe I judged him too quickly."
"The fact that Michael is a successful businessman means there’s a serious side to him and that’s good," she added. "But I haven’t seen that."
"My friends made me see reality," she added, after her bridesmaids suggested she "start asking him questions and stuff".
"I feel bad. My walls are quite solid."
If we're being totally honest, though, Stace still didn't seem that eager to learn more about Michael when she pulled him aside for a chat.
And then she let Michael know that, actually, he was lucky, because she really did want to get to know him. Just not, you know... then and there.
"If I don’t want to get to know you, I don’t have time for you," she told him. "But I want to get to know you so… it’s good."
Hmm, is it though?
