Approaching the couch to face the experts, Connie said in a voiceover, “We’ve done a 180, in the wrong direction, we’ve gone the wrong way. Tonight’s decision is the hardest one I’ve had to make in the whole, entire experiment.”
“Jonethen, what would you say is the issue in your relationship with Connie?” asked John, getting straight to the heart of the matter, no messing around.
“Communication for sure,” said Jonethen. “We have two different ways, even for just saying sorry, we say it differently.”
“Since we had that huge argument I backed off a lot,” explained Connie.
“I took three steps back. I don’t feel like Johnny and I bring out the best in each other. I just don’t feel like myself anymore. I just feel like I’m constantly upset all the time and I hate it.”
“Johnny’s definitely got some great traits about him. You’re definitely a ‘glass half full’ kind of person, which is amazing, it’s the best way to be.
“The person I married at the start is a totally different person to now,” replied Jonethen.
“I notice the difference in her. She was fun, outgoing, always interested in doing something. It seems like since we got to Sydney something changed.”
Do you know what changed?” he asked Connie.
“We were on the same page, it was going so well, then ever since that argument it just went downhill from there.
“I saw a very ugly side in you and a very ugly side in me and it scared me.”
We hope these two can make it work, we were backing them.
