Married At First Sight relationship guru John Aiken says it how it is when it comes to dishing out advice to the reality TV couples.
And now, the love expert has explained why he’s such a tough nut.
"Some like me, some hate me, but in this show we have to give out the tough love because they've got to learn along the way," he told the Talking Married panel.
Most recently, we saw Aiken stop bride Susie mid-sentence during a commitment ceremony because her description of husband Billy was "doing [his] head in".
"It was one of those things where we've got really big personalities on the show and they're there to try and fall in love, but a lot of them are getting it wrong," he said.
"So we need to step up and be more directive, and intervene where we can so that they get what they're doing and do it different."
Season six of the reality TV show has been the most explosive yet, with two separate couples embarking on affairs.
"I'm not happy about it, and neither are the other experts," said Aiken, who warned that "these two [Jessika and Dan] are running a very dangerous line."
"We don't put them together so that they can jump ship and cheat. So, this is something that we are disappointed in when we see it," he told the panel.
