In the lengthy post, Michael revealed what he had learnt from his partner, praising her for some of her admirable qualities.
One of many lessons was “never get comfortable. Comfort kills growth and you need growth to move forward.”
Another was: “F**k the people that don’t support you. Don’t try to change them, let them go.”
Seemingly referencing their own relationship, Michael added: “Be honest with your partner. Even if it hurts them in the moment, it will protect them in the long run.”
Signing off, Michael credited Martha as helping him achieve his goals.
“I owe a lot of my success to you and this is only the beginning of what we will achieve,” he wrote.
“We are a team and nobody can stop us. I love you more everyday.”
Michael later took to his Instagram stories to share Martha’s reaction, uploading footage that feature her beaming as she read his heartfelt message while in their car.
Clearly happy with the sentiment, she commented on the post, “Thank you for everything! Everything!!!! I could write a list but it’s not my style and you already know what you mean to me because I tell you everyday.”
Doubling down on her thoughts, Martha also shared his post to her own Instagram Story.
“Love him. This is the way I live my life & I couldn’t have written it better myself,” she captioned it.
Michael and Martha met when they appeared on MAFS’ sixth season in 2019 and “married” in Melbourne after crossing paths for the first time.
There were 11 other couples paired up in the same season but only Michael and Martha and Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson are still together.
