Whilst it may not seem like there's a massive difference between Aussies and Brits, Mel admitted that the matchmaking process was a bit of a culture shock for her.
"For me it's quite exciting doing the matchmaking process with British people versus Aussies because I know Aussies so well and I know the culture so well," she told OK!
"If you come from Queensland or South Australia you're reasonably similar in terms of well, accent, but also cultural and social ways of operating, but here there is so much difference between regions and I'm learning every day. Not just trying to pick accents but learning about different ways people communicate and get together so the matchmaking process has been a real challenge for me."
Whilst we can't watch the series over here in Australia (at least not yet) plenty of the show's alumni are already hooked.
"Ooooohhhh WOW! Definitely brings back lots of memories!!!" season five bride Sarah Roza commented on Mel's Instagram after she shared a trailer.
Season six's Mel Lucarelli also weighed in on the British grooms, writing: "Can’t wait to watch this! Not sure who you’ve matched with who 🤔 But I’ve matched myself with Josh & Ant. I’m taking two 😂"
Lizzie Sobinoff, who starred on the show's sixth season and came back for a second shot the following year, also remarked: "MAFS UK bringing some Aussie flavour."
The first episode aired in the UK at the end of August and from the premiere, 26-year-old Nikita became an instant breakout star.
In fact, she's already been compared to season six's Cyclone Cyrell Paule!
"Nikita will bring us drama so I’m ready #MAFSUK" one British fan wrote on Twitter after the first episode aired.
"Nikita is going to be the new Cyrell of this show #MAFSUK," remarked another.
