Margot Robbie attended the Hamptons International Film Festival for the screening of her latest film, I Tonya. In the biopic, the 27-year-old portrays disgraced Olympian Tonya Harding, transforming her appearance the for the role.
Margot wore a colourful sequin mini dress by Dior for the event, daring to go braless. The look was finished with metallic heels and a ruby red velvet bag.
“I did four months of training, five days a week, four hours a day. On Christmas Eve, I was at the rink. And now I actually really miss it,” the actress told W Magazine.
“I kept my ice skates — but I said goodbye to a whole world of pain that I didn’t realise came along with figure skating,” Margo confessed.
Harding is a controversial figure in American olympic history, following her alleged involvement in a 1994 attack on her competitor, Nancy Kerrigan. It was later revealed that Harding's ex-husband orchestrated the attack, Tonya served three years probation "conspiring to hinder prosecution of the attackers."
The more I became Tonya, the more I saw things from her point of view. I’m on her side 100 per cent,” Margot said of the "misfit" former Olympian.
I ,Tonya is scheduled for cinematic release around Australia in February, 2018.
