Things took a turn for the worse when they got Natasha on the line. After refusing to say hello to her ex-husband, she claimed he really did hook up with the mum-of-two. She also confirmed they were still together at the time of the alleged affair.
"It was four hours after we broke up. We were well over before I slept with Stacey," Mikey insisted before an irate Natasha butted in, saying: "No we weren't. You asked me for dinner that night. That's not true. You're lying."
"I don't want to speak to you," he said with hatred in his voice. "I am not worried about what people think. I could bring up 65 rumours on what Natasha did during our marriage."
"I had your back, Mikey," Natasha screamed. "I called you the day after I had read those text messages between you and Stacey. You said she tried to come to you but it was you who went to her," she said, referring to Mikey and Stacey's coffee date which came after rumours began swirling he'd cheated on his TV wife.
Meanwhile, Stacey is still denying the affair even happened in the first place. Last week she insisted she's not attracted to the 29-year-old and would never do the dirty on her controversial husband, Michael Goonan.
"Mikey looks like my son, there's no way," Stacey told KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O during an interview on the breakfast program last Thursday. "He is not my type. What happened was I was in Adelaide when he hooked up with Hayley and no one told me what was going on and I was all alone.
"So Mikey reached out to me and asked to get coffee because he wanted to tell me what Michael was saying about me all night. It was nothing more than that.
Stacey echoed a similar sentiment in a recent interview with New Idea, saying: "Nothing happened between Mikey Pembroke and I. No sexual relations. Nothing. I can guarantee that. And I can sit here and swear on anything.
“I understand where the rumours came from. We did share coffee and we did hang out. I swear that Mikey and I have never shared any sexual intimacy."
