Meanwhile, Stacey is flat out denying this affair ever occurred, swearing she'd never go behind Michael Goonan's back like that.
"Nothing happened between Mikey Pembroke and I. No sexual relations. Nothing. I can guarantee that. And I can sit here and swear on anything," she told New Idea.
“I understand where the rumours came from. We did share coffee and we did hang out," she said, adding, "I swear that Mikey and I have never shared any sexual intimacy."
While the soon-to-be lawyer is adamant she wasn't romantically involved with her co-star, her TV husband Michael is said to have dumped her after he caught wind of the juicy rumours.
“I’m more disappointed at Michael than anyone. If this is how he takes one rumour then he needs a lot of help because honestly there’s going to be a lot of rumours going around in life,” she said.
Confirmation of their affair comes after New Idea obtained exclusive text messages between Mikey and Stacey which were far more intimate than anyone expected. After Stacey insisted Natasha "would die" if she knew about their secret affair, the pair began discussing how the show's executive producer, Tara, was trying to keep them apart.
“Are you coming tonight,” Stacey asked Mikey, who then responded by declaring one of the show’s producers would not be happy if the duo spent time together.
“[She] doesn’t want me near you haha,” he wrote to which Stacey replied, "Lol do whatever you want to do. If you don’t feel right then don’t.”
