Nine confirmed the return of the show earlier this week at their Upfronts, where they announced what was to come for them next year.
The show’s Instagram account also announced the return, sharing an image of Mel Schilling, John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla – the experts who match the couples and counsel them through the fake marriage experiment.
People in the comments were quick to share their excitement.
“COUNTING DOWN 😂😂,” one shared all in caps.
“I’m ready,” said another.
“Where do I sign up 🙋♂️” joked former contestant Jesse Konstantinoff, who was unsuccessful at finding love on his season.
Fans also think they’ve recognised one of the first contestants as influencer Brent Vitiello, who recently moved back to Australia after living in Dubai, where he worked in photography and hospitality.
He has recently made his Instagram account private, which seems an odd choice given he has 51,000 followers.
However, setting your account to private is reportedly a requirement for incoming participants.

The dating show, which is commonly among Australia’s highest-rated television shows for the year, is famous for its high drama and the occasional successful love story.
This year’s season saw the ongoing successful relationship of Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson, who are currently engaged and pregnant with twins, as revealed to New Idea earlier this year.
Best of luck to the new lot set to head down the aisle next year!
