Jayden and Eden's relationship timeline...
Like all couples on Married At First Sight, Jayden and Eden first met at the altar on their wedding day. She was wearing white, he was wearing his luscious locks styled in a man-bun. The picture perfect wedding!
He's a 26-year-old professional kickboxer from The Gold Coast, she's a 28-year-old recruitment manager from The Gold Coast. It's hard to believe they've never crossed paths, a fact both mentioned on their wedding day.
They were described as a perfect pair by the MAFS experts.
"Eden needs somebody strong who can give her some safety, make her feel at ease," expert Alessandra Rampolla said.
She also addressed the fact that Eden would need someone trustworthy, following her previous relationship where her partner cheated on her with her life-long best friend. Likewise, Jayden had admitted that his previous partner also cheated.
"It makes it easier to trust that someone who's gone through that, won't do that to you," Alessandra said of pairing them together.
"Because they've both been cheated on, they have a strong sense of right and wrong," added John Aiken.
On their wedding day, they admitted to being smitten.
"She's stunning," Jayden gushed. "Her eyes are insane, they're looking into your soul almost. There's so much depth to see in them."
"He's tall and he's super handsome. He's stunning," Eden said, telling her friends "he's f---ing great. He's such a doll."
Though Jayden was struggling with self-doubt, questioning whether or not Eden liked him, it quickly became clear how they felt.
Following a romantic honeymoon, it seems the pair were settling in well as they headed towards their first commitment ceremony - but the first challenge of the season, saw the couple hit a roadblock. \
The letter-writing task saw the couple share a deep truth from their past and it's safe to say Eden (or Australia) didn't quite expect Jayden's admission.
Warning audiences that his 'truth' was a "pretty big one," Jayden wasn't sure how Eden would react.
“Dear Eden, my ex-girlfriend cheated on me," he began. "I had told her I was willing to give her another chance but I was going to sleep with her best friend while she watched. One of her friends agreed to do it. So after a little bit of chatting for a few days it happened."
Eden, who has previously shared her heartbreaking personal experience with cheating, responded to the bombshell truth by asking her husband if he regretted his actions - to which he immediately replied that he didn't.
At the time, Eden walked out, explaining that she was "rattled" by admission - but the couple had moved past the challenge by the time the first commitment ceremony rolled around.
Reflecting on the situation in front of the experts Jayden admitted the experiment had given him the opportunity to reflect on his behaviour.
"It wasn't until looking back on it and talking about it with Eden, it made me realise it was the wrong thing to do," he admitted. "100 per cent, I regret it."
"I don't agree with what Jayden did... but I haven't given Jayden the chance to try and improve from it yet, and I'm willing to give him that chance," Eden responded.
