The two first met in early 2020 for business reasons when Booka’s Sonic Minds mental health project teamed up with Jake’s Outside The Locker Room charity.
Photos of the pair resurfaced early on in the season with many wondering if there had been a past fling between the two but now Booka has slammed the rumours.
"I mean If Jake and I wanted to be matched together we probably would've done it in the outside world, would we not? We wouldn't have been on MAFS," she told Hobart radio duo Jimmy and Nath on Tuesday.
"It was actually really nice to have a trusted friend there - it was just really funny because we were working on this business idea together and we were both like 'Got a few things coming up over the next couple of months, let's but this on hold for a bit and we'll reconvene soon.'"

Bride Booka also explained that she and Jake "friend-zoned" each other early on in their relationship.
"We have heaps in common but we're also business partners - we've kind of friend-zoned each other pretty hard core already so once you friend-zone somebody it's kind of hard to go back from there I feel."

After a successful intimacy week, Booka and Brett seem to be stronger than ever and have been a fan favourite couple.
"In a season of mess thank god for Booka & Brett," one person mused on Twitter.
"I love the way they look and talk to each other. By far Booka and Brett my favourites," penned another.
"Booka and Brett always look happy together! I think they will actually have the chance of a future together!" exclaimed another.
Booka and Brett have become fan favourites this season, whereas Jake and Bec's marriage hasn't been quite as joyous to watch.

As for Jake and his bride Bec, things aren't going as smoothly on their end.
The marriage got off to a bad start when Bec remarked that Jake was looking at her as if she were "sex on a stick" and since then, it's all been downhill.
Speaking to Nova's Fitzy and Wippa after her awkward wedding episode aired, the MAFS bride admitted that despite being given the villain edit, she honestly feels she came across as honest.
“If I’m not upfront and honest about how I’m feeling.. then I’m not being honest to Jake, I’m not being honest to myself.”
