After suffering an ill-fated MAFS marriage to Queensland farmer Mick Gould, later propositioning Nic Jovanovic and then dating Dan Webb, Jess and Nick went public with their relationship in early July.
Although at face value their romance seemed genuine, fans began to question whether it was a publicity stunt when staged photos emerged showing Jess pretending to be pregnant while enjoying a "romantic date" with Nick at Melbourne's Luna Park.
After a huge meal, Jess— who was pictured tucking into a corn dog before chowing down some fairy floss— stopped for a staged photoshoot where she invited Nick to kiss and touch her imaginary baby bump. Jess was later seen cradling her stomach as Nick looked adoringly at her food baby.
Their weak attempt to convince us that they were expecting their first child together came days after Nick's former MAFS co-star Telv Williams claimed their relationship was, in fact, a publicity stunt.
"I think it's a publicity stunt... straight out," the reality star said.
As expected, Jessika hit back, refuting Telv's claims.
"I am sick of defending myself over Telv and his lies. I really wish he would just leave me alone and let me live my life. I'm very happy with Nick, he's a great person and someone I can see myself settling for. His "friends" should be happy for him."
Since then, Jessika has done little to convince fans that their relationship is legitimate, having recently met up with her ex-boyfriend Dan Webb.
Despite their bitter breakup and awkward on-screen spat following the show's finale, the controversial stars' were snapped laughing and smiling together as they spent "an hour engaging in very friendly conversation", with an onlooker telling the Daily Mail that their meeting was "intimate"
"They were definitely friendly, there was no arguing or anything,'" the insider said. "'Jessika was giggling like a schoolgirl with a crush and it was pretty clear she still has a soft spot for Dan, despite everything she's said about him in the past."
