Michael’s heavy drinking put a huge strain in his relationship with Stacey early on, and videos of the 29-year-old slurring his words during a recent night out sparked concerns from fans that he could have a drug problem.
The Adelaide business owner’s supposed womanising ways have also been an issue, amid recent claims he hooked up with intruder KC Osborne, who was friends with Stacey (after allegedly cheating with co-star Hayley Vernon during the experiment).
“[KC] never cheated with Michael,” Stacey tells WHO, setting the record straight. “It was post-experiment when she reached out [to me] to hook up with him and asked my permission, whereby I explained my heartbreak and emotional trauma from our break-up,” she continues. “And she still pursued him even after saying she wouldn’t.”
KC and Michael’s alleged romance is the latest couple-swapping drama on this season of MAFS and dancer KC is remaining coy about whether they’re now an item.
“We always got along super well and yeah, that’s all I’m going to say about that,” she says.
Meanwhile, after apologising to Stacey time and again and insisting he was in love with her, Michael now says, “I really only chat to one person on the show, who is amazing. I can’t give away all of my secrets but I can 100 per cent confirm that I am seeing someone from the show.”
According to former MAFS star Jessika Power, producers also wanted KC’s husband, Drew Brauer, to have his own cheating scandal.
“The new intruder, Drew, he’s spoken to me a few times and he mentioned that there were situations that he was put in by producers that he didn’t want to be put in,” Jess recently spilled. “They basically wanted a [wife] swap out of Drew and he said no.”
