Aside from the usual suspects, Martha reveals she was surprised by the number of queries she got about her makeup during recent stint on Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
“That was crazy because I did my own makeup and people went crazy. I should have jumped on board and done a video but I didn’t get the chance.”
There is one aspect of Martha’s skin care routine that isn’t quite the norm. She mixes her own oil cleanser.
“I am a massive, massive advocate of oil cleansing, I’ve been oil cleansing for years and I cannot get enough of it.
“I’m yet to find the perfect oil cleanser I love so I mix up my own concoction as my first cleanse,” she says of her routine.
“I buy different oils and experiment; I like a castor oil base. I read and do some research and buy some oils from Amazon.”
When it comes to the rest of her highly requested skin care routine, Martha says she then moves on to serums before the final and most imperative step: sealing in all her hard work with a hydrating moisturiser.
“Lastly, I go on with something really thick and emollient to lock it all in. For that I really love the new Olay ultra rich cream, it has this beautiful shea butter in it and it is just like a shield and doesn’t let any moisture evaporate from my skin.
Despite being so decadently hydrating, Martha says it’s still the perfect base before makeup.
“I’m wearing it under makeup, in case I’m doing a full face to go into the kitchen sometimes,” she jokes of being in lockdown, “but it sits beautifully on top.”
