The pair revealed they met after a mutual friend who had worked on both Home and Away and MasterChef set them up on an “awkward” blind date, before they quickly became inseparable.
Andy and Charlotte also shared how they spent much of their downtime.
“We both travel separately for work but are also very lucky to get to travel together a lot. Downtime is stagnant in both our careers and so far we have been able to make it work really well,” Charlotte said.
Andy added: “We are very family orientated, active, outdoor people so we spend most of our time with our family and friends or travelling.”
And while Charlotte admitted “eating” was one of their favourite activities to do together, Andy jokingly took aim at the Summer Bay starlet’s cooking skills.
“Charlotte has caused herself to be locked out of the kitchen on numerous occasions. She's hopeless. Sh-t hits the fan, literally. Char just bought me a pasta making machine, so I'd say my signature dish (at the moment), is pasta” he said.
While it’s unclear why the actress and the MasterChef judge split, they have both since moved on with their personal lives.
Charlotte went on to date Big Brother 2014 winner Ryan Ginns, although they have since called it quits.
Meanwhile, Andy this week shared details of his engagement to Alex Davey in an interview with TV WEEK.
Revealing he proposed to his girlfriend-of-four-years while on holidays in New Zealand, Andy admitted he was a bundle of nerves.
"I was so scared about the ring going off in the scanner at the airport and having to drop down on one knee and propose in front of the security guards," he said.
Andy took Alex to a secluded headland and asked her to marry him.
"She was so shocked, she basically collapsed on my shoulder," Andy recalled. "I pretty much had to ask her if it was a 'yes'. She was very shocked."
