It’s been MasterChef Australia’s most drama-filled season to date and the reality TV show continues to be plagued by controversy even after series winner has been announced.
Viewers watched as Diana Chan seized a one-point victory over Queensland’s Ben Ungermann in the last moments of the show on Monday, but many are claiming the final tally – 90 to 89 - was “rigged.”
Taking to Twitter to vent their frustrations, fans have alluded to “collusion” between the judges to ensure a nail-bitingly close end result.
However, some were far less cynical, suggesting the climax was simply a “cliff-hanger” and congratulating Diana on being a worthy victor.
The 29-year-old accountant took home the MasterChef trophy, a monthly column inDelicious magazine and a whopping $250,000 prize money.
