He continued the post by, thanking the "amazing" midwives at the Epworth Freemason in Melbourne who cared for Lauren, his partner in business and life, in what was a "difficult time" with coronavirus restrictions.
Isla is the Scottish-born celebrity chef's second child with Lauren, with the pair sharing a two-year-old boy named Alfie. He also has two teenage daughters, Ava, 19, and Sophia, 14, from his previous marriages.
Back in June, Jock told Woman’s Day he was feeling “utterly miserable” after being separated from his family, who are currently living in South Australia, due to filming commitments in Victoria with Network 10. Lauren, a fellow foodie, works alongside Jock at their restaurant, Orana, in Adelaide.
“I always wanted to be a dad. It's a way of life. I couldn't imagine life without kids,” he said.
Lauren and Jock will celebrate their four-year wedding anniversary on New Year's Day, with the couple frequently sharing loved-up shots of each other on social media.
