“I have diagnosed myself this. [It's] Never been done properly, but I know it,' he said. 'Everything has a place. We wipe, we clean, we look neat and tidy,” he chastised the Top Five during the challenge, which involved contestants cooking a meal at George's former Melbourne restaurant, The Press Club.
Fans of the show quickly flocked to Twitter to express their horror at George’s self-diagnosis.
“Self-diagnosing with a serious and debilitating mental health condition because you like a clean kitchen is a s**tty thing to do,” blasted one person.
“George just doing WONDERS for the mental health community with his self-diagnosis there,” said another.
While others said: “Also don't approve of self-diagnosing OCD. Get a psychiatrist to diagnose it. You have the means,” another followed suit.’
“Cool George, but liking things to be organised does not mean you're OCD.”
The Twitter storm comes amidst reports this morning revealing the masterChef star has been slapped with a $200,000 fine after admitting to underpaying staff at his restaurants nearly by $8 million.
