Matty, who met his fiancee Laura Byrne on the fifth season of The Bachelor in 2017, admitted he can only speculate on Angie and Carlin's relationship status.
"It must be hard when you don't have an answer- maybe they're not broken up and they're just having a little fight and you don't want to air that out for everyone," he said.
The former Bachelor added that he couldn't personally relate to the situation, explaining: "I feel like I'm so fortunate not to have any rough patches in my relationship.
"Laura and I have been smooth sailing since day one so there's never been a time where I've had to pull back on my personal life because everything's been great. When things are great, you're happy to share it...but when you're having a fight you don't want that to be aired out in public."
Matty also touched on the public's vested interest in people who have starred on dating shows like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and how it goes on even after filming has wrapped.
"I don't want to say you've signed a deal with the devil, but you can't just tap out unless you've deleted your Instagram account and don't have any presence on social media," he explained.
"People are really going to be invested and they're going to want to know so when things don't work out and you're on reality TV you do have to take the rough with the smooth."
When fan account Bachie Funny shared screenshots showing the couple had unfollowed one another, Angie commented that it was merely due to a "glitch in the system."
"Leave it. If you don’t know, you don’t know," she replied to a comment on the Bachie Funny page.
She also replied to a fan who said that "if you don't 100 per cent know, don't post."
"Amen!!! And everyone got their happy ending when the show was on. Now it’s no one's business. It’s my real life. So best people stay out of it unless they know for real what someone is going through," she added.
