Megan explained that they’d previously holidayed at Dollywood and made “special magical memories” with their kids, River, six, and Rosie, three.
It was this that prompted their decision to buy when the opportunity came knocking.
“Over the past few years we have thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful holiday rental property with our little family… It has become a very special “happy place” for us, so to be able to have the opportunity to now own it, is a true blessing 🙏🏼⠀”
She added that they would continue to rent out space in an effort to “offer a bit of restful respite” to their fellow Victorians - especially in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown.
“We are not only thrilled at the prospect of creating more special moments with our children, our extended family and friends but we are SUPER happy that we can throw open the doors to YOU! 🏠,” she continued.
“After a very long, tumultuous year for many people, (especially our fellow Victorian residents) to have a place where we can offer a bit of a restful respite to others, is something that we are so pleased to be able to do. 🙏🏼⠀”
Many of their fans and celebrity friends flooded the post with their words of support.
“Great news @megankgale 😘,” wrote TV host Melissa Hoyer.
“Yay! So happy for you guys, this is perfect for you guys! And we'll have to book some time to stay,” added stylist Lana Wilkinson.

The former David Jones ambassador and AFL legend have been together for nine years and engaged since 2017. But despite her intention to walk down the aisle one day, Megan admits she’s in no rush to tie the knot.
“I am not that big wedding girl (who is all about) where is my dress and where is my moment,” she said in a previous interview with the Herald Sun. “It has never really been my thing.”
“Now that we have had Rosie (her daughter), I almost want to wait until she is old enough to remember it.”
“We have waited this long, I think let’s wait a bit longer and have [the children] involved in the day and have them a bit older so they can take it all in. We are happy to hold off.”
The businesswoman shared that Shaun had popped the question via social media.
“For goodness sake, can't a girl go for leisurely beach stroll without chipping a nail?!” she wrote, alongside a pic of her beautiful ring - a large diamond set on a diamond and platinum band.
“Well.. at least I had some nice rocks to look at. I know you're not supposed to remove shells and rocks from the beach and take them home with you, but I did find one rock that was pretty special and I just had to keep it.”
