The new mum will have the perfect opportunity to share her Californian roots with her son, Archie as he grows up on the grounds of Frogmore Cottage, just by looking at the two giant redwoods – a symbol synonymous with the American state – that grow in the gardens of nearby Frogmore House, a short walk from Meghan and Harry’s cottage.
The royal couple’s home is situated right on the edge of the parkland visible to visitors when the gardens open for three charity days each year.

Frogmore House became open to the public on May 27 in support of the National Open Garden Scheme. It is the first time the gardens have been open to the public since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to Frogmore cottage.
Another reminder of Meghan’s homeland is the nearby grave of Wallis Simpson, the American wife of King Edward VIII.
