Another source who's friendly with the "Mother's Daughter" singer, aged 26, also told the outlet that Liam's "super easygoing" public image is just that, an image. The Hunger Games actor was "super moody" and, in difficult times, took his frustrations out on Miley.
While we should take all of these opinions with a grain of salt, a different source told TMZ this morning that the former couple is now at war with claims of drug use and infidelity at the heart of their nasty split.
According to the outlet, sources on the pop star's side say Liam's alleged "drinking" and "drug use" damaged their relationship. The insider also dished that Miley wasn't accepting of Liam's alleged party antics, especially since she's "struggled with substance abuse in the past".
Since these shocking accusations emerged— which we should take with a grain of salt— a source close to The Hunger Games actor has hit back, claiming Miley's friends are intentionally using this as a coverup so the attention is taken away from supposed "infidelity" on the "Wrecking Ball" singer's behalf.
"This is another attempt by Miley to distract from her infidelity and recent outrageous public behavior," the insider said.
Although the songstress— who recently returned to acting to star in an episode of Netflix's Black Mirror— has seemingly moved on with Brody Jenner's ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter (the pair were caught kissing two days after a representative for Miley announced she was single), an insider revealed to Radar Online yesterday that Miley spent months trying to save her marriage to the Australian actor, and even begged Liam to go to couple's therapy. But, "he didn't come close to meeting her halfway."
Since secretly calling it quits two months ago, Miley and Kaitlynn— who is also newly single— have been spending a lot of time together, with Page Six claiming they've "been hooking up for months".
And, in an unexpected turn of events, Kaitlynn's ex-husband Brody is "totally okay with it".
“It was no secret," the insider revealed, admitting Kaitlynn and Brody— who announced their split last week— had discussed her relationship with Miley in the past. "Brody is still friends with them. There’s no drama. [Kaitlynn] had some other priorities [in her marriage], and you now know what they are."
Earlier this week, Brody weighed in on their hookup, posting a photo of himself to Instagram with the caption: "Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today."
Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's son Brandon Thomas Lee was quick to make a joke in the comments section saying: "Let's round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out," adding a kissy-face emoji.
Brody responded, "@brandonthomaslee watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon," along with the emoji of two men.
