Daniel Radcliffe works for God in upcoming Stan comedy 'Miracle Workers'

Watch the trailer for the new comedy also starring Steve Buscemi and Australian actress Geraldine Viswanathan - by Gavin Scott
  • 12 Dec 2018

God has been depicted multiple times on the screen, but never like in upcoming comedy series Miracle Workers. For one thing, the creator is played by Steve Buscemi as a disinterested and jaded figure, uninterested in life on Earth and ready to pull the plug and concentrate on other projects. Watch the trailer below.

The seven-part Stan comedy also stars Daniel Radcliffe as Craig and rising Australian actress Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers) as Eliza, two employees of Heaven, which is shown to be just like any other workplace, with bureaucracy, politics and co-workers you can't stand.

Can Craig and Eliza stop God from destorying Earth by answering the prayers of two humans? That's their challenge in Miracle Workers, which is based on the novel What In God’s Name by Simon Rich.

Miracle Workers debuts on Stan on Wed., Feb. 13, 2019.

A pop culture enthusiast from a young age, Gavin is equally passionate about great pop music (’80s synthpop, ’10s dream pop), gripping TV series (Friday Night Lights, The Handmaid’s Tale) and trips to the cinema (I love a blockbuster as much as anyone, but I’m done with the superhero thing).
