The couple wed in 2011 in an intimate ceremony in WA’s South-West in front of just 50 guests. They had met in Perth several years earlier, with their romance blossoming from the get-go. In fact, Mitchell, who was based in Brisbane at the time, was so taken by Jess that he requested a transfer to play with the Western Warriors.
In an interview with the Herald Sun back in 2013, Jess revealed that Mitchell expressed his desire to start a family very early on in their courtship.
"He was keen on children for ages, but I said, 'Let's wait until I have my 30th'," she said.
Although the former karate champion turned handbag designer is notoriously private about her personal life, Mitchell frequently shares pictures of the couple on Instagram, proving they are just as loved up as ever.
"A very happy birthday to my wonderful & very stunning wife @jessicabratichjohnson💕 " he captioned one post. "You are the best mother to our beautiful children & amazing wife but you are also the most inspiring & hardest working person I know! Love you lots & i hope you have a wonderful day 😘"
Mitchell, 38, is set to make his small screen debut on October 19th on SAS: Australia. The Channel Seven reality TV show is a reboot of Who Dares Wins and will feature a myriad of other big-name Aussie celebrities including Schapelle Corby, Roxy Jacenko and Ali Oetjen.
