"During the show, many times I actually spoke to Romel about me just quitting," Ibby revealed exclusively to WHO.
"Honestly, I just was really hating it. There was a lot of things, that I was just like, 'I just need to get the f*** out of the show. This is really affecting my mental state. I don't need this s***,'" he continued.
But by speaking with his best friend and teammate, that pressure was eased and he was convinced him to stay.
“Then I changed my mind and talking to him, I knew how much he wanted it," he confesses.
"I knew how much it meant to him and I just felt it was unfair. Every time I just go back and be like, 'No, I can't do this to Romel. I'll just give it the best we can.'”
Ibby says he’s thankful he didn’t follow his demons, and persevered: “Now that it's all done and thinking back, I thank God for not quitting.”
"I've learned a lot of things, not only about myself but about this production, about the shows and it's an experience that honestly, not many people will have but the ones that do have, are lucky to have," Ibby explained.
