Asked how marriage has changed him, Evans tells WHO that “it’s beautiful to be in love. Married, not married—you’re in love no matter what. I’m the happiest guy in the world. But I was also happy before.”
Evans’s decision to take the plunge would seem to have put pressure on co-host Manu Feildel, also 43, to finally make things official with fiancée Clarissa Weerasena, mother to his daughter Charlee, who turns two in February.
Not so fast, says Feildel, who reveals fans shouldn’t expect more wedding bells to be ringing in MKR world anytime soon. “It’s just a piece of paper, isn’t it? We’ve been engaged for three years, but according to the press we’ve been married for five … or at least five times. The marriage is not happening because our lives are just too busy. I’ve got too much bloody work and I need to take the work. Marriage would be nice for Mum and Dad. For me? I love her, she loves me, and that’s where it stops.”
