“In our job, we’ve experienced some amazing cuisines and we’ve brought those experiences home with us to share,” says Chris, 57, who has been flying for 28 years (“longer than the age of some people at the table!”).
Described by his team mate as the “Carey Grant of the air”, Chris is determined to bring style and sophistication to the competition, showcasing his Italian cooking skills and heritage along the way.
“I started cooking when I was eight years old. I learnt from my mum, sister, aunties, friends, cookbooks and, more recently, the Internet,” Chris explains. “I’m looking forward to showing off my Italian heritage cuisine, both classic, and with modern twist.
“I am a bit of a show off too!”

“The role of raconteur is rapidly being lost but people still love it and I love entertaining people,” Lesley, 50, reveals. “Let’s drop the mobile phones for a minute and tell stories that entertain and impact - it’s much more fulfilling.”
While Chris is currently single, Lesley is happily engaged to fiance Bobby.
“Bobby and I have been together five years, moving in together 2019,” she says. “An unexpected twist of fate - a great love affair, so late in life!
