My Kitchen Rules' Tim and Kyle reveal the truth about their love lives
Sparks flew after Kyle and Bek shared a kiss during Amy and Tyson's Instant Restaurant, but romance fizzled when Bek and Ash were eliminated in a Group One cook-off with David and Betty.
"I think it was sad to seem them go," Kyle tells WHO, "but ultimately it's a competition and Tim and I have come to win it. We had to move on and focus."
While Kyle and Bek had flirted throughout Group One's Instant Restaurants, their connection did not blossom into true love. "What happened happened," Kyle says of the kiss. "I have no regrets. We're in touch as friends still."
Agrees Bek, "It was good to maintain a friendship throughout [MKR]. "We're both not really very awkward people. We just kept the lines of communication open and it was absolutely fine."
Bek, a vet surgeon from Perth, adds about her future guy, "I need someone who is quite intelligent and has a good sense of humour. I don't like being serious all the time, so that's what I look for. I don't have any criteria regardling looks because the perfect brain is inside, but what I would like is someone taller without a beard!"
For Kyle, he's not dating at the moment nor actively looking but if he were, his ideal woman would "probably be funny, with a good personality, and quite active," he says. Adds Tim, "I'm still single and happy, 'but I'm not closed to the idea of being in a relationship. I'm 30 now, so I am definitely looking for a winner."
Just not with much help from Kyle. "We both have intentions of being each other's wingman," Kyle says, "and then we both just get into a conversation with each other and our mates, and we drink a few beers, and then try to forget all about it. We're very slack!"
In the meantime, the boys are content to gain followers to their @timkyle.mkr Instagram account. "What you see is what you get," Tim says of him and Kyle. "We are just relatable dudes, really, and we think that comes across."
