“We’re the ones that called it out at the table but that didn’t make the edit,” Josh tells WHO. “We decided to tell Group 2 that Ibby and Romel were trying to strategically score against them.”
Josh explains that pressure was being placed on the siblings to join forces with their rival team while the cameras were not rolling.
“Ibby and Romel were completely harassing us in the makeup room and saying ‘You have to do the strategic vote. Do it,’” Josh says.
“And we were just like ‘get stuffed’. Then at the dinner table, Austin was like ‘everyone, Ibby and Romel strategically scored’ and that’s what happened.”
However, according to Ibby, that’s not exactly how it went down behind the scenes. “I found out that we might be able to save our group by strategically scoring so I went to everyone in our room, not just Josh and Austin,” Ibby says.
“I told them that if we lose another team today we would be three teams down. I didn’t ask anybody to strategically score or anything like that I was just making them aware.”
But Josh and Austin aren’t just pointing the finger at Ibby and Romel. According to the home-school Christian brothers, Group 2 were strategically scoring to an even greater degree than Ibby and Romel!
“Most of them were strategic,” Austin spills.
“Group 2, they are all friends and they all hang out together and all spoke about scores. No wonder they all get the same rating.”
Josh is quick to elaborate: “Basically, Bianca would always talk to everyone about what they think they were going to score. And then she would tell Luke and then Luke would basically say ‘I think I’m going to score this.’ This is all behind the scenes, right. And then so everyone from Group 2 would pretty much score the same and they would get away with strategically scoring because they all were talking about it afterwards.”
