Windmills
As beautiful in person as they are in the photographs, the windmills are Mykonos’ most iconic and recognisable feature.
Seen from every point of the island’s capital, the seven whitewashed windmills are set above the main port and were mostly erected by the Venetians in the 16thcentury.
Whilst you have to battle the crowds to get that sunset snap, it is worth rising early and climbing the hill for a sunrise shot instead as it is way less crowded - and more peaceful.
Go to Kadena
Do not leave the island without indulging at this charming seafood restaurant in Mykonos Town.
Located on the waterfront, this bustling gem serves delicious fare and has a wonderful atmosphere. Be sure to order the taramasalata – you won’t regret it!
Sunset drinks at Kokkino Bar
With panoramic views over the sea, this sophisticated poolside paradise, located at the ultra-luxe Myconian Avaton hotel, is the place to go for a sundowner.
Sip on the Guns and Roses and live your ultimate bliss, particularly when the pool lights up with sparkling constellations that mirror those in the night sky.
