Over the weekend, the 35-year-old shared a snap of herself sunning her buns at the beach. Wearing nothing but a bikini and wide brim hat, the mum-of-two looked as fit and fabulous as ever - even with the scattering of ‘stripes’ on her upper thigh.
“Takeaway margaritas on the beach yesterday. And yes (before you point it out) I have stretch marks on my thighs and bum and #thisisme.”
“I have these ones since I was 14 and got hips, embrace the changes your body goes through and love yourself through it all,” she added.
Many of her followers praised Nadia for “setting a beautiful example” for other women to know it’s okay to flaunt their so-called “flaws.”
“Thankyou for posting this, for showing girls, ladies, daughters, sisters, mothers and friends that being real is perfection, you are beautiful,” one commented. “As a mother of a teenager, I am grateful that she can see this. You are a queen for leading the way, I hope so many more women follow 💕.”
A second added: “Can’t wait to show my 14 year old daughter this pic! She’s hating on her stretch marks. She loves you and will feel so much better knowing beautiful people have these too 😊❤️."
Another fan wrote: “It’s sad that you had to point out something so normal and common about your body because others would do so, negatively... you look amazing and don’t deserve to feel insecure about slight imperfections because of the internet.”
Even comedian Em Rusciano weighed in on the matter: "But who would EVER point that out?! And show me one adult body that doesn’t have a few magical silver snail trails of mystery! Seriously... If anyone ever does again, please send them my way. You look happy, that’s what I noticed. X”
Nadia’s empowering post came just a day after she took her relationship with her new personal trainer boyfriend, Nathan Brodie, public.
Via his own Instagram account, he shared a pic of his love at St Kilda Beach, wearing the same printed bikini.
“Weekend vibes,” he captioned it.
It is the first time the pair have acknowledged their blossoming romance since rumours began swirling several months ago when they were photographed working out together.
In November, Nadia shared that she was committed to keeping her ex-husband Jimmy Bartel’s last name in the wake of their split in 2019.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, she said that she “can’t imagine” having different surnames to the children she shares with the AFL legend, Aston, four, and Henley, two.
“Right now, I want to have the same name as the boys,” she said when asked if she’d be reverting back to her maiden name of Coppolino.
“I can't imagine having another surname,” she added.
