When it comes to hair tools, none is more coveted, Tik-Toked or talked about than the infamous Dyson Airwrap. And yet, Dyson didn’t seem satisfied with creating good hair days everywhere, no, they felt they could still do better.
Enter the new and improved, next-gen Airwrap.
WATCH: How to use the Dyson Airwrap on short hair
At its core, the Dyson Airwrap still uses the same Coanda airflow technology to style hair with less heat, but a few key (and exciting) updates have been made. We’ve got all the details below.
How is the new Dyson Airwrap different from the original?
Dyson’s new-generation Airwrap has been designed to cater to more hair types with new attachments targeting frizzy, coily and curly hair types.
The game-changer, however, comes in the new Airwrap barrels that switch air-flow direction as you style, solving one of the biggest qualms users have with the original of having to change barrels according to which side of their head they’re styling.
Another exciting addition is the fly-away technology we saw released recently with the Supersonic Hairdryer being adapted for the Airwrap with a stronger drying attachment.
What attachments come with the new Dyson Airwrap?
Coanda smoothing dryer (new): dry off damp hair and smooth frizz with the ‘flyaway attachment’ for a silky finish.
Firm and soft brushes (new): for sleek, straight styling the brush comes in two sizes, now with better airflow control for a smoother finish.
Airwrap barrels (new): coming in two sizes, now with the ability to curl in both directions without changing barrels.
Wide tooth comb: give curly, coily hair volume as you dry with the wide-tooth attachment.
Round volumising brushes: perfect for creating a blowout, the round brush attachment now comes in two sizes for more personalised styling.
Can the new attachments be used on the original Airwrap?
In news that will delight Airwrap owners everywhere, the new attachments can be purchased through Dyson direct at $99 per addition.
