While attending a memorial at the Pike River Mine on Monday in Greymouth, New Zealand, Ms Ardern opted to wear her ring on her middle finger so as to not to draw attention away from those that had been affected by the tragedy – in which 29 men were trapped and killed underground following an explosion in 2010.

A huge congratulations go to New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern after a spokesperson confirmed today that she got engaged to her partner, Clarke Gayford over the Easter weekend.
A report from NT News stated that Ms Ardern’s press secretary confirmed that the PM got engaged to her long-time partner two weeks ago and has been wearing the ring on her middle finger.
Ardern told the BBC earlier this year that she wanted to put Clarke through the "pain and torture" of having to agonise over popping the question when asked if she would do so herself being a feminist.
The 38-year-old and Gayford, 41 are parents to 10-month-old daughter Neve.
