27 Dresses is undeniably one of the best early 2000’s Rom Coms. A perfect cast, relatable yet feelgood plot, perfect chemistry and a solid soundtrack? Count us in.
It’s a movie that has stood the test of time, routinely re-watched by a legion of fans who just want to see Katherine Heigl and James Marsden end up together.
And although fans may have happily watched the same movie again and again since it was released in 2008, fans *might* be blessed with a sequel.
Sure, there’s no official news….but both Katherine Heigl and James Marsden are super keen.
Recently, James Marsden who is currently starring in Jury Duty said he’d “be down” to reunite with his co-stars for a follow-up to the 2008 flick.
“27 Children,” he suggested to E! News. “Bring it on!”
This isn’t the first time the leading stars of the film have hinted that they would be keen to make a sequel. Earlier this year, Katherine Heigly also shared with E! that she “would kill to do a 27 Dresses sequel.”
“We’re talking a little bit about it,” the actress shared in March. “So, we’ll see.”

James Marsden has recently been on a publicity kick for his latest show – a mockumentary/improv-style show Jury Duty.
The concept is wild yet extremely simple. The show follows the workings of an American jury trial – yet it’s all completely staged. Everyone in the room is an actor….except for Ronald Gladden.
What ensues is a witty and hilarious 8 episode season that’s almost too easy to binge, thanks to its 25-minute episodes.
It’s clear the series is produced by the same team behind The Office, with deadpan humour and awkward dialogue reminiscent of our favourite comedy shows. But what takes it to the next level, is the constant reminder that one man at the centre of the show has no idea that he’s part of a carefully-crafted tv series.
“I was excited by the concept,” James told The Guardian of his decision to jump into a role that required improv. “I wanted to step into that world.”
“It was important to me that this wasn’t a prank show,” he shared with the publication. “We were creating a hero’s journey where hopefully, by the end, you have this Twelve Angry Men moment where we’re hoisting him on our shoulders.”
