Former A Current Affair reporter Ben McCormack has had his child pornography sentencing adjourned until December.
The journalist, 43, was arrested in April and pleaded guilty to two counts of using a carriage service to transmit and promote child pornography in September.
In court on Friday Judge Paul Conlon said it appeared McCormack’s “fantasy” had never been acted on.
“He realised the wrongness of his thoughts … in his own mind, particularly sober, he avoided situations the facts could transfer from fantasy [to reality].”
The matter has been adjourned until December 6.
