Speaking to The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential, the pair revealed the moment Tim declared his love for husband, Rod by proposing for a second time was edited out from the final episode.

“I was a little bit sad to be honest,” Sattler told Confidential. “But we understand it is a show and there is a timeline for how long it can go for.

“We understand the time factor but I am not going to lie, it is a bit sad knowing it is not going to be in it. I would have loved to have that to look back on in years to come as an amazing memory. At the end of the day it will always be in my heart and in my memory.”

However, according to Network Ten, there is some consolation for the disappointed couple, with a representative confirming the proposal will be shared via social media.

“Rod and Tim’s declaration of love on the finale mat is a social media exclusive for the #TARA socials,” a spokeswoman said. “Rod and Tim were already married earlier this year and the finale episode is jam packed full of love and excitement.“

Tim and Rod were married at One Mile Beach in Port Stephens in March and are planning a second wedding for Las Vegas “in the chapel where Britney (Spears) got married” after their Amazing Race win.

“When Rod proposed it was the most magical day of my life but it also kind of frustrated me a little bit because I always wanted the opportunity to propose to him,” Tim explained.

“In the back of my mind I always knew I was going to do it, it was just where or when. And when we got our butts on the Amazing Race, I thought, what more of an iconic platform to do it than on the show.

“The idea was put to the side because you get so caught up in the race and then we found ourselves at the end and I thought, what better opportunity than to do it on the final pit stop in front of Beau (Ryan) and all the other racers, it would go down in the history books so I jumped at the opportunity.”

Tim and Rod aren’t the only Amazing Race contestants with exciting news. Yesterday it was revealed that footy mates Tom Wilkinson and Tyler Roos may have secured themselves on the next season of Gogglebox.

After the departure of Gogglebox faves Adam Densten and Symon Lovett, who sensationally quit the program last week, it’s rumoured that Tom and Tyler could replace the couch critics in 2020.
