Andy Lee has confessed he enjoyed ‘fuelling’ the bickering between his teammates, The Veronicas whilst appearing on Nine’s Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation on Wednesday night.
‘It was an interesting role for me. I had to mediate a bit of the bickering, and then when I got bored, I would fuel it,’ he told 9Honey of his experience with Jessica and Lisa Origliasso.
‘So, I kind of bounced between breaking them up and starting the fights. It was fun!’ he added.
After years of interviewing the twins with his comedy partner Hamish Blake, Andy said he’d experienced first-hand their sibling rivalry.
‘They’re some of my favourites to play with, particularly because they just quarrel between the two of them, and have no qualms going personal!’ he said.
The Aussie sisters recently opened up about their 18-month estrangement.
‘We were so connected, so close. For that to be a threat to anybody has been one of the hardest things for me to understand,’ Jessica told Stellar magazine in February, while declining to name the person/s who had come between them.
‘I am so proud of how strong we’ve been… We have tried to handle ourselves as gracefully as possible. Nobody should feel like they can force themselves into your life how it suits them when it’s toxic and unwanted,’ Jessica said.
