Kim is believed to have given birth the baby boy last week, although the name is yet to be revealed, according to BBC. The couple are also parents to daughters Sophie, three and Edie, two.

While the Wimbledon star has yet to comment on the news, his mother, Judy Murray couldn’t contain her excitement at becoming a grandmother for the third time during an interview with BBC Scotland’s Mornings with Kaye Adams, revealing that the couple have welcomed a “lovely, happy, healthy baby boy.”

“It’s lovely news,” she continued. “Lovely to have a little boy to go with the two little girls…I’ll leave it to Andy and Kim to fill in all the details.”

It certainly has been a celebratory couple of months for Andy. The Scottish sports star won the European Open last month, his first singles title since undergoing hip surgery in January.

After the event, Murray joked about having three children so close in age.

“I’ve got two young kids and a third one coming,” he said. “I’ll have three kids under four years old.”

“When I’ve been off the tour the last few years my family has got bigger,” the three-time Grand Slam winner continued. “I need to get on the road so we’re done before it gets out of control!”

“I’ll try to be around as much as possible in the next year, but I know my tennis career won’t go on for ever, so there will need to be a balance between me maximising the next few years and spending quality time with my family.

“I’m lucky in that I can train close to home, so that lets me do things like the school run whenever I can.”
