She first found fame on Gogglebox and has since gone on to star in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here – and with the announcement that she’s set to be Australia’s newest Bachelorette, you’d be forgiven got thinking Angie Kent’s Gogglebox cast mates might be a little peeved that she’s getting so much air time.
However, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Appearing on Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery, Angie revealed that her Gogglebox ‘family’ are nothing but supportive.
When Smallzy jokingly asked our Bachelorette if her fellow Goggleboxers wanted to ‘rip her to pieces’ for leaving, Angie assured listeners that she left on a good note.
“They have been so supportive – we’re like a family you know, and you know where you came from -I know I’m a gogglebox girl, I’m just doing other things!”
And to prove her point, earlier on Angie reposted a congratulatory snap from her fellow Goggleboxers, the Dalton family to her Instagram stories.
“Congrats @angiekent_”, the post reads, “So excited for your Bachelorette journey”.
Angie then captioned the story: “Love my Gogglebox fam.”
Angie’s comments follow news Channel Ten has shut down rumours they got in touch with Ines Basic to appear on the show whilst she was filming Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight.
Ines told radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson that she was approached to audition for The Bachelorette while filming MAFS last year.
‘Well, I actually did get asked while filming MAFS if I was interested in being picked for it,’ the legal secretary said.
‘I thought I’d be really funny but I was like, “Oh I don’t know, this is already like, so heavy”.’
