She came armed and prepared – using her previous knowledge as an advantage. “I know about the hidden immunity idols,” she said on Monday night’s episode. “So I’m going to try and find some of them.”

But her determination and fast strategies didn’t go unnoticed by the other contestants. Several of the All Stars are very familiar with Shane’s ruthlessness and deceit – and already decided that the best decision would be to boot her out.

They discussed how she wasn’t being subtle about looking for an idol, and that someone would have to keep an eye on her at all times. “She’s creeping,” one of the contestants said.

“I just want to comment on simplicity. This game is not simple,” Shane said as the contestants sat around the fire pit at tribal council, revealing she knew about their plan to get rid of her. “Survivor is much more than that.”

Chiming in, host LaPaglia says to the group, “Can we forgive and forget, or is it time for revenge?”

Lydia Lassila was adamant she’d already forgiven Shane for their previous history in Season 3 – when she hatched a plan to get rid of Lydia, while she was spending hours stood on a pole during a challenge.

Lydia opened up to The Herald Sun, and revealed she took the ordeal very personally.

“Everyone would take it a little bit personally for sure,” she told the publication.

“And if they say they didn’t, I think they would be lying because it’s such a profound experience. But the thing is, you just get over it. I had my questions – what the hell? Why did they do that? I felt pretty let down but I don’t have grudges. What’s done is done.”

But evidently, Lydia – and others – were not quite over Shane’s previous actions, with seven of the contestants voting Shane out on the first night of Australian Survivor All Stars.
