Australian TV icon Peter Luck has died

The Australian television industry is in mourning today.

One of the most familiar faces on Aussie current affairs TV in the 70s, 80s and 90s has died.

Its been confirmed that Peter Luck has passed aged 73 following a battle with Parkinsons disease. 

As well as being a regular newspaper columnist, Peter fronted such iconic TV shows as This Day Tonight, Four Corners, Sunday, Today Tonight and Inside Edition. He also worked on This Fabulous Century, The Australians and Where Are They Now?

“Saddened beyond measure to report the death last night of Peter Luck. My dear friend, and great journalist and writer,” wrote close friend and colleague Mike Carlton.

“Those who knew him will remember him as a wonderful, wise and witty friend.”
