However, on Thursday night’s reunion episode, Alisha sensationally chose to end their rollercoaster relationship for good in front of the live studio audience.
During her speech, Alisha blasted Jules for sending mixed messages by sleeping at her house and talking about children.
‘This is my night for closure,’ Alisha insisted, stating she’d rather Jules be a ‘fun girlfriend’ in her life that a male lover, despite admitting they had been ‘in each other’s lives’ and spoke every day since leaving the show.
‘I have seen Jules outside of Paradise and I have not let go. And that hope remains,’ Alisha said.
Jules has a habit of sort of dangling the carrot with me,’ she said of his behaviour when it came to dating and showing emotion, further explaining that he even mentioned children and grandchildren at one point.
At this point, Jules seemed unable to offer any sort of meaningful response.
‘When you kiss me in Byron Bay. When you sleep over at my house. And we’re back there and we’re together. Then you tell me it’s a comfort thing,’ Alisha continued, prompting Jules to finally offer an explanation.
‘How you and I ended in Paradise, I didn’t want to ghost you, never speak to you again or have things end bitter,’ he said.
Alisha then told him she was looking for some kind of ‘closure’, choking back tears as she admitted she was ‘in love’ with him.
‘I need some sort of line or some sort of closure. I was in love with you and I need something. Some sort of line. That’s going to let me get past this,’ she said.
‘Sometimes you have to be like, OK, this is a cycle. It’s going to continue and actually I’m the only person who can change this,’ she said.
‘So, I’m going to change it and this is my night for closure. It doesn’t mean you’re not going to be in my life. You’re going to be in my life as like a fun girlfriend.’
