Beyonce’s Lemonade is tipped to win major award

It will be a very sweet victory!

Beyonce’s latest album Lemonade stands to win at this year’s Emmy Awards on 18 September.

The global pop sensation and the creatives behind the album have been nominated in the four categories of, Outstanding Production and Design for a Variety, Non-fiction, Event or Award Special, Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special, Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming and Outstanding Variety Special.

The album will be battling against other contenders for the first category such as the designers of Grease: Live, He Named Me Malala, the Oscars broadcast and The Wiz Live

Beyonce herself along with director Kahlil Joseph are nominated for the second category and stand against Grease: Live, the Grammy Awards broadcast, the Kennedy Centre Honours broadcast and live specials from Adele and Amy Schumer. 

Meanwhile, Lemonade’s editor Bill Yukich is up for ‘Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming,’ against episodes of Drunk History, Conan,Key & Peele and Last Week Tonight with Jon Oliver.

Finally, Lemonade as a whole has been nominated in the Outstanding Variety Special category, up against Adele: Live In New York City, Amy Schumer: Live At The Apollo, The Kennedy Center Honors and The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Prime Time Special.
