Speaking on his Nova radio show on Tuesday, Fitzy – who came fourth in the 2004 season of the show – revealed that Big Brother producers were expected to work around the clock in order to produce daily episodes.
Ryan told co-host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli: ‘I’m not joking, there were executive producers who have to watch and get a storyline every 24 hours to show what’s going on.

‘They’d sit in front of screens for 20 hours a day, and only sleep for three or four.’
Ryan also confessed that producers would bring in as many housemates as possible to create more drama, then ‘kick the idiots out’ to make the show more exciting.
Earlier this week, the first promo for the upcoming series was released, giving viewers a glimpse of what the house will be like this year.
There were plenty of whispers about where the where the new Big Brother house was going to be built since the Gold Coast location is now no longer standing.

Initially, there had been rumours the new house will be located at Seven Network’s Eveleigh studios, but it was later revealed the actual location of the 2020 Big Brother house is in Manly.
TV Blackbox initially reported that the new season of Big Brother wouldn’t air until August, after the now-cancelled Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
But with the release of the new promo, the network has confirmed that the show will now air in June.
The show reportedly won’t be live, which means there will be no public voting, and housemates will vote on who they wish to evict each week.
