In a recent interview with Hollywood Life, Miley Cyrus’ dad and co-star said: “They’re talking about doing a prequel, which to me, I would do that in a heartbeat. Because that means I get to get my mullet back.”
“I think there’s a whole story that led up to Miley becoming Hannah Montana,” he added.
However, fans of the hit tween show shouldn’t get too excited, While Billy Ray is onboard, a source told E! News that Disney currently has no plans to revive Hanna Montana.
The hit show – which saw the Wrecking Ball singer play Miley Stewart, an average teenager by day and pop star Hannah Montana by night – ran for four seasons between 2006-2011 and launched Miley’s career.
Speaking of his role on the show, Billy Ray admitted initially he hadn’t been keen as he didn’t consider himself to be an actor.
‘They had cast me as her dad, and I said, “They should get a real actor. I don’t want to mess that show up.’
