It’s time to enjoy your birthday even more by claiming loads of free birthday food, drinks and vouchers. If you are smart you can redeem hundreds of dollars worth of birthday freebies on the day and even in the week or month surrounding your birthday.
Some of you might think getting a free coffee is great, but there is so much more you can get for free in form of snacks, a main meal discount, lunch and clothing gift vouchers.
To unlock the free birthday gift bonanza, all you usually need to do is join the VIP club or loyalty program. You may also need to show photo id showing it’s your birthday to claim your freebies. In many cases, you can join on the spot or easily download an app.
These incentives are not just available in Melbourne and Sydney – you can claim more freebies that you could imagine all over Australia.
Below is a list of just some of the birthday freebies that are waiting for you to claim:
Free Food and Drinks
Nandos – Free regular Nando‘s meal
You can choose from a 1/4 chicken or any burger/wrap/pita meal (with a regular side and a regular drink included)
Sign up as an email verified Peri-Perks member and make sure that you have made at least one purchase in the six months before your birthday. Eligible members are sent an email voucher valid from the first to the last day of their birthday month. All you need to do to claim your free meal is present your birthday email barcode, Peri-Perks membership and photo ID (if requested) at any Nando‘s restaurant.
Sumo Salad – Free salad on your birthday
Free regular deli salad on or seven days after your birthday. To be eligible for your free salad you need to join Sumo Society at least 14 days before your birthday and subscribe to marketing communications.
Muffin break – Free Birthday muffin
You can get a free muffin within the month of your birthday if you sign up for a Muffin Break rewards card or sign up via the app. To get your free birthday muffin you need to register online.
Oporto – Free single fillet Bondi Burger Value Meal
To claim your free single fillet Bondi Burger Value meal, all you need to do is be registered for “Flame Rewards’ and provide photo ID on request. This is valid on your birthday and valid for 30 days after.
Baskin Robbins – a free scoop of ice cream
Join the Baskin-Robbins Birthday club and 5 days before your birthday you will be sent coupons for a free 2.5 oz scoop of ice cream and you will also get a voucher for $3.00 off an ice cream cake.
San Churro – Free Churros or a $15 Churros Fiesta
Free churros or a $15 Churros Fiesta on your birthday, or the day before or after your birthday. All you need to do is register for the San Churro Socialite Loyalty Club Program and show photo ID if requested.
Ali Baba – Free kebab
Make sure you collect an Ultimate Rewards card in-store and register online so you can claim your free birthday kebab.
Cold Rock – Free Kids size ice-cream with one mix in
You can only claim your free ice-cream on your actual birthday and you need to have been a Cold Rock VIP Club member for at least 8 days before your birthday. An email voucher is sent to you 7 days before your birthday.
Chatime – Free drink
Sign up as a Chatime Loyaltea member for free by downloading their app (or you can purchase a card in-store for 50 cents). You can pick up your free drink from any T-brewery any time during your birthday month.
Noodle Box – free $10 voucher
Noodle Bx will load $10 onto your Noodle Crew card with no minimum spend. To become a Noodle Crew member you need to pick up a card in-store with the purchase of any food or drink item, and activate your card online. Your voucher is valid for up to 7 days.
Boost Juice – Free Birthday Boost Juice
You can only redeem your free juice on your actual birthday. To be eligible, you need to join the VIBE club, and present your VIBE card in-store.
Hard Rock Cafe – Free Dessert
To be eligible you need to join Hard Rock Rewards online or via the Hard Rock Rewards App. Once you are a member, you can claim your free dessert on your birthday with an entree purchase.
Jamaica blue – Free Slice of Cake
Join the Caribbean Crew by picking up a membership card in-store and registering online. You can claim your free slice of cake in-store with your card and photo ID (if requested)
Mrs Fields – Free Soft Baked Cookie
You need to pick up a Club Cookie Card from a Mrs Field‘s store and then head online and sign up as a Club Cookie member online. Present your Club Cookie card and photo ID to claim your free Soft Baked Cookie.
Krispy Kreme – Free 4 Pack of Original Glazed Donuts and $10 off your next online order
To be able to claim your free 4 pack of Original Glazed Donuts you need to subscribe to ‘The Inner Circle‘ at least 4 weeks before your birthday and enter your date of birth when you sign up. You will receive an email with your two birthday offers 6 days before your birthday and you will have 7 days to redeem them.
This can only be redeemed at a Krispy Kreme store by providing your unique code from your email and a valid photo ID.
The Cheesecake Shop – $5 birthday voucher
Sign up for Mamuska’s mailing list at least two weeks before your birthday and you will e emailed your $5 birthday voucher. There are a few important things to note:
- You have to print out your voucher to redeem in-store and ensure you have some photo ID
- Your voucher must be used on a full cake (not on a midi, half, quarter or single serve)
- You cannot use your voucher on the Gluten Free Cake range.
T2 – Free full-sized takeaway cup of a tea of your choice.
If you sign up to T2’s member program, the Tea Society, you can pick up your free takeaway cup of tea in-store simply by showing your photo ID.
Red Rooster – 10% discount voucher
If you join Red Rooster‘s Red Royalty program you will receive a 10% discount voucher for your next meal. You can do this online or via the app. You also receive a $5 voucher when you join. You 10% discount voucher is valid for 30 days after your birthdate.
Subway – Free 6 inch sub and drink
Join the ‘Eat Fresh Club’ to claim your free 6 inch sub and drink. This offer will be sent to your email the day before your birthday and is valid for three days either side of your birthday.
Salsas – Free burrito
Register for Salsa’s Mex Club and present your membership card in-store to claim your free birthday burrito. This offer is valid for two days either side of your actual birthday.
Ikea – Free Princess Cake
Join the IKEA Family online or via the app and you will an email voucher for a free Princess Cake (you are also entitled to bottomless coffee all year round with your membership. All you need to do is print out your voucher and present it at the restaurant to claim your free cake.
Gloria Jeans – Free Drink
Collect a Sippers Club card in-store and register online. Make sure you leave the ‘eSipper Club Newsletter’ box ticked when registering, and your voucher will be emailed to you.
Pancake Parlour – free Sweet Pancake
Join Lovely Rewards to get a free sweet pancake on your birthday.
Spud Bar – free birthday spud or salad.
Join the Secret Society of Spud and you will be entitled to a free birthday spud or salad off the menu, or a create your own spud up to the value of $13.40. You can claim this on the day of your birthday or 2 days either side. You will need to provide photo id to confirm your Date of Birth,
Become a Kikki K member to be sent your $10 voucher.
Witchery – $20 Gift voucher
Join Witchery rewards and your $20 voucher will be sent to your email inbox.
Priceline – $5 voucher
Join the Priceline Sister Club and your $5 off voucher will be sent to your email.
Sign up to MIMcollective online and your birthday reward will be loaded onto your membership account. Your voucher will be valid for 30 days.
Jeanswest – $10 voucher
You can use your $10 voucher when you buy any full priced item from Jeanswest.

Saba – $25 gift voucher
Become a Saba VIP member at least 4 weeks prior to your birthday to be sent a $25 gift voucher. If you want to redeem your voucher in-store you need to present the gift voucher email and VIP card.

Register your details on the Adidas mailing list to get a $20 gift voucher.
Zone Bowling (previously known as AMF Bowling) – two free games of bowling.
Join Zone Bowling’s Roller club online to be eligible for two free games of bowling for your birthday. A redeemable barcode voucher will be sent to you via email on the day of your birthday and is valid for one month after your birthday.
