A source told PEOPLE about the agreement, “It is not permanent but rather a temporary agreement in place, for now, to keep things moving along in the right direction.”
But according to Us Weekly, Pitt, 54, is not on good terms with sons Maddox, 17, and Pax, 15.
“He’s has accepted that he’ll likely never be able to repair their relationship.”
“Angelina hasn’t offered any concessions about her actions that have contributed to the situation,” the insider adds.
Jolie’s attorney told Entertainment Tonight in a statement their agreement was reached weeks ago.
“A custody agreement was agreed to weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge,” Jolie’s attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean said.
“The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial,” she continued.
“The filing and the details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children.”
