It looks like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s reunion at the Screen Actors Guild awards on January 20 is the first of many beautiful moments between the pair!

WATCH: Brad’s totally doe-eyed watching Jen accept her award!

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Hollywood heavyweight has been working hard to rebuild his relationship with Jen – and it started with an apology.

“Brad is completely sober now and is in such a different place than he was when they were together,” a source spilled to the online news outlet.

“[He] is truly an introspective guy who has worked hard on himself.”

“He has apologised to her for many things he felt were his issues in their relationship. He truly takes ownership for his mistakes,” the insider continued.

Ah, we love a happy ending – even if it did take more than a decade for them to get there.

Their sweet encounter at the recent SAGs marked the first time in more than 10 years that the pair (who everyone has been shipping since they split) have been photographed in public together

And as another source told Entertainment Tonight, they truly are on great terms.

“Right now they just love and adore each other and have been much closer friends since their divorces,” the second insider explained.

“They have a very mature relationship that has evolved over time because they both have experienced marriages that didn’t work out.”

The once-married couple famously split in 2005 after Brad fell in love with (now also) ex-wife Angelina Jolie on the set of their film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. In that time, Jen married Justin Theroux.

Brad and Ange parted ways in 2016, while Jen divorced Justin in 2018.

Their moment at the SAGs not only gave die-hard fans fresh reason to believe they were always destined to be together, but also offered plenty of fodder for body language experts like Dr Lillian Glass.

Speaking to Page Six, Dr Glass said it’s clear to her Brad and Jen’s love (they were married from 2000 to 2005) “never died” because of the affection they demonstrated.

“It’s completely mutual and that’s what’s so beautiful about it,” she continued. “They’re completely connected.”

When Jen, 50, and Brad, 56, first saw each other backstage, the good doc added, their eye contact was like “two magnets reaching towards each other”.

“They were exactly in sync in one another’s eyes, and that’s huge.”

Speaking to ExtraTV after her best actress in a drama series win for The Morning Show, Jen told the outlet that the victory meant even more coming from her peers – including fellow winner Brad.

“We’ve all grown up together, we really have,” she said, hinting at how far they’ve come as individuals since their breakup.

“It just feels like a really fun night to celebrate and cheer each other on and keep working.”
